Precept Funded Project Renovation War Memorial - Work Commences and Ongoing over the Summer 2024.

On Monday 10th June 2024 , renovation of the War Memorial started with the removal of the thick metal chains that hang between the posts. A local metal fabrication company that has been in business for more than 40 years , has been awarded the contract for this work. The chains will be blasted , repaired and repainted in black gloss before being returned to the Memorial. In August 2024 , Alistair Wade Landscapes Ltd., will start the work of  lifting,  relaying and regrouting  the flags   around the cenotaph.
