Precept Funded Project Renovation The Green - Work Started 10/6/24

On Monday 10/6/24, renovation work started at The Green with the removal of the Flagpole and the metal chains that hang between the bollards along Town Road.    A local metal fabrication company has been awarded the contract for this work . The chains will be blasted, repaired and repainted in black gloss before being replaced . The flagpole will also be treated and repainted in white gloss. Renovation work is part funded by this year's increase to Precept . 

The Parish Council had agreed that the Union Flag would be flown for a period of two weeks in respect of the 80th D-Day Anniversary but this was cut short with the flagpole being removed for renovation. 

The Parish Council had also agreed that the Rainbow  Flag would be flown in June in respect of Pride but this too had to be foregone with the flagpole being removed. As an alternative, the Parish Council has a Pride poster in the notice board on The Green.
