Precept Funded Anti-Climb Paint Applied to the Container at the Recreation Park
3rd of July, 2024
The Parish Council encourages all members of the public , young and old to enjoy the beautiful Recreation Park in our village . It's a £200k , award winning community amenity that all those involved with , past and present are extremely proud of. We are most fortunate to have such an area in our village .
The upkeep eg mowing , strimming etc... is paid for by every single household in Croston through the Precept collected with Council Tax . As you can imagine , a significant amount of the money everyone pays in Croston is spent on looking after the Recreation Park.
The Parish Council and many volunteers, do many of things to keep it looking good , pleasant and safe for everyone to enjoy.
A recent safety measure has been the application of thick, sticky non drying anti-climb paint on the roof of the metal container at the Park. Signs on the container state ' Anti- climb paint' and ' Do not climb' .
The Parish Council will always take action to keep the Recreation Park a pleasant and safe place for everyone to use . We thank the local Neighbourhood Policing Team for their involvement in addressing recent incidents of anti-social behaviour involving youths climbing on the metal container . The Police Team advised the Parish Council to use anti-climb paint on the container which we have done. The Parish Council takes its responsibility to the public most seriously.
Thank you to everyone, for your support in respecting how the Recreation Park is used.
