Rising river levels this afternoon may lead to flooding.

Flooding is possoble possible when river levels are at their highest from 3.30pm on 16th October 2024.

Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Douglas, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around River Douglas and other watercourses from Parbold to Tarleton including Rufford, Mawdesley, Croston and Moss Side.

River levels are expected to remain high due to heavy rainfall.

Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
