NOTICE OF VACANCY IN OFFICE OF PARISH COUNCILLOR - CROSTON PARISH COUNCIL

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with the provisions of Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act, 1972 that a vacancy exists in the office of Parish Councillor following the resignation of Linzi Bannister.

If, within fourteen days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays) after the date of this notice (by Thursday 20 March 2025) a request for an election to fill the vacancy is made in writing to the Proper Officer, Town Hall, Market Street, Chorley by ten electors (signature, together with full name and address) for the electoral area an election will be held to fill the vacancy.

If no request is received, the vacancy shall be filled by the Parish Council.
