Parish Council Staffing Costs Reduced in 2023-2024 by an Average. 52%

The Parish Council has analysed and rationalised spending on staffing. We have  two employees : the Clerk and the Lengthsman ( carries out litter picking and other duties in the Parish). We appointed the new clerk on 6 hours per week (covering any extra hours only when required) which is 50 % less hours than previously and the Lengthsman who voluntarily requested a 54% reduction in his contract, now works 6 hours per week.

As a result of these changes, we have considerably reduced our staffing costs which are now in line with National Association Of Local Councils  guidelines and similar staffing costs to those of other local parish councils.
